Kayla Bennett is a second year player for the Seattle Community College's Storm women's team. Kayla is a 5-11 post player who graduated from Central Kitsap High School. Her nickname is "Bird." In high school, she was First Team All League for the Narrows League. She enrolled at North Seattle CC because Coach Valdivia recruited her at a Senior Showcase Summer Tournament.

Kayla's dad (Kevin) is a manager of an Auto Quik Stop franchise. He played high school basketball for Mt. Si and they won the state tournament in his senior year. Her mom (Sue) is a pharmacist. She has a younger brother who plays high school basketball.

After North Seattle CC, Kayla plans to transfer to a four-year university and play. In high school she was recruited by Utah State and Southern Utah. She aspires to be either a veterinarian or a teacher.

Kayla lives with her uncle on Queen Anne. She has worked as a camp counselor with 2nd graders in Bremerton. She loves pets. She has a golden retriever named "Griffey" and 4 calico cats at her parents home in Bremerton.
