Women's Team: Player Profile
Jayme Estep is a second-year player for the Seattle Community College's Storm women's team.
Jayme is a 5-6 point guard who graduated from Bellevue High School in 2004. Her nickname is
"Jay Rae." She started high school at Newport High School (Bellevue) and then
transferred to a boarding school, Wayland Academy, near Madison, Wisconsin. After one year
there, Jayme returned to the State of Washington and graduated from Bellevue High School. Her
basketball honors include "athlete of the year" at Wayland Academy, and the Gator-Aid "Will to
Win" team while at Bellevue HS. She was selected as captain for this year's Storm team and
wears #34. She enrolled at North Seattle CC because head coach, Rebecca Valdivia, coached her
at Bellevue HS.
Jayme has worked as a live-in nanny in Miami, Florida and Denver, Colorado. She has also worked
at Kindercare in Bellevue with pre-school children, and is a volunteer at Children's Hospital.
Jayme plans to earn her Associate of Arts degree at North and is majoring in Psychology. She
intends to transfer to a four-year college to earn a teaching certificate.
Jayme has four (4) brothers, ages 17, 20, 27 and 31. Jayme is 21 years old.
Jayme's mother (Nadeen) is a Metro bus driver and a hair stylist. Her father (James) is deceased and he worked for the City of Seattle.
