Photo: student applying for aid Tuition and other assistance may be available to you as a student in the Worker Retraining Program (WRP) if you are income-eligible and are pursuing a professional/technical certificate or degree program or are upgrading your skills. Tuition assistance is designed to pay your first quarter tuition while you are seeking Federal Financial Aid and/or funding from outside agencies. Other assistance may include fees and books. The WRP at North Seattle Community College does not cover parking.

As part of your participation in the Worker Retraining Program, you must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have a computer with a modem, a printer, and Internet access, you can complete this application online at the FAFSA website.

Please don't hesitate to ask us for assistance in locating or pursuing other sources of funding. For more information, call 206-527-3787.

Where do I go for tuition assistance and financial aid?
Financial Aid as well as Federal and State Financial Aid can be obtained through NSCC's Financial Aid Office. A WRP program specialist at the Financial Aid Office is available to help you identify other sources of potential funding.
Are there other sources of funding?
Other funding agencies, such as the King County Dislocated Worker Program, Pacific Associates, and TRAC Associates, may be able to assist you if you are not eligible for tuition assistance through federal financial aid or the Worker Retraining program. These comprehensive programs for reemployment also include services for skills assessment and intensive job search assistance. To meet with these funding agencies, you need to attend the Job Search and Training Resources Workshop at the North Seattle WorkSource. For more information, please call 206-440-2500.
